BAREFOOT SHOES FOR HIKING CAN BE FUN FOR ANYONE

New to barefoot shoes. We live in Montana where by it will get to -20 or lessen. Any ideas on boots? Am I ideal in thinking you'd have to have the thick boot to shield from the extreme cold?
